BIND – D – 1 is a general purpose aqueous dispersion of acrylic resin.
For many years, this product has been accepted as one of the most suitable as a binder wherever modern finishing techniques are employed.
The excellent mechanical stability of BIND – D – 1 makes it eminently suitable as a binder wherever modern finishing techniques are employed.
BIND – D – 1, in common with most of the other members of the range of binders, is freely miscible with all the materials generally used in the finishing of leather.
For intermediate and final pigment coats BIND – D – 1 can be used with a variety of harder materials.

BIND – D – 3
BIND – D – 3 is a very fine uniform particle size acrylic resin dispersion having good penetration properties. BIND – D – 3 can be used in the formulation of base coats and colour coats and in surface impregnation of full and corrected grain leathers.

CHARACTERISTICS:-

Unique polymerization technology of BIND – D – 3 enable all of the following features to be combined.

1.
Very fine uniform particle size distribution.
2.
Soft, gentle handle for today’s natural looking leathers.
3.
Outstanding adhesion promotional properties on full grain and sheep skin leathers.
4.
Excellent cold crack resistance.
5.
Good penetration properties on all types of leathers.
6.
In impregnation BIND – D – 3 produces less firming and less surface discoloration than conventional acrylic resins.
COMPATIBILITY OF AQUEOUS FINISHES
BIND – D – 3 is compatible with the full range of other binder and auxiliaries. It should be blended with harder / filling binders for base coats.
APPLICATION GUIDELINES

 A.       The adhesion promotion and soft fine particle size characteristics of a BIND – D –  3, facilitate its use as a soft component binder in the formulation of base coats and colour coats for today’s natural looking leathers such as garment, sheep skin and bovine leather. Finish coats based on BIND – D – 3 do not crack when bent, have excellent flexibility, high, elongation and do not increase the temper of leather. The excellent cold crack resistance of BIND – D – 3 is a plus point for finish formulated with it.

BIND – D – 3 can be formulated with harder film characteristic binders depending on the characteristics desired.

B.        IMPREGATION

The unique soft, uniform, fine particle size characteristics of BIND – D – 3 enables its use as an impregnation binder in the manufacture of very mellow corrected grain leathers and full grain leathers such as softee shoes leathers.

By using BIND – D – 3, less firming and less surface discoloration are achieved. Correctly formulated BIND – D – 3 clears the surface so well that rebuffing is not needed, to produce a surface ready for finishing.

BIND – D – 3 will generally perform best with lower penetrate levels than normal and a higher ration of organic solvents to surfactant.
