DECIL – CF

(CATIONIC FAT LIQUOR)

Chemical Composition         :    Based  on  fatty  acid  condensation  products.

Appearance                           :    White coloured paste or semi-liquid.

Active Matter                         :    20%   +    2%

pH as  such                            :    4  to  6

Stability to Electrolytes        :    DECIL CF is  stable  to  acids,  natural  salts and  basic  chrome complexes used                                                       in   leather  processing.

Dilution                                  :    It  is  advisable  to  mix  the  product  with  equal  quantity of  water  to  form 

                                                     uniform dispersion.

Properties                             :

(1)   DECIL CF helps to achieve a more uniform distribution of chrome in tanning process.

(2)   As  a  top  fat-liquor  DECIL  CF  imparts  a  smooth waxy  and  pleasant  handle.

(3)   It prevents damaging the grain by abrasion during drumming in short liquors.

(4)   Multi-charge  Fat Liquors  can  be  prepared  using DECIL CF  that  will  increase  superficial  fat- liquoring  effect.

Neutralisation as usual.

(1)  Pre-fat  liquoring  in  chrome Tanning of  leather.

      (  %  are based  on  pickled  weight) 100%  water 4%  Basic Chromium Sulphate  -   

      ( 4 Hrs) Add :   1 -  3%  DECIL - CF  -  30  Minutes Basity  as usual.

(2) Retanned  Leather

     ( %   are  based  on  shaved  weight )

          100%   Water

          3%    DECIL  -  S-133

          2%    DECIL  :   SN

          2%    DECIL  :  EURO  -  (45 minutes )

          Add :  0.5%   Formic acid ( 1: 10)  (15 minutes)

          Add :  1 – 2% DECIL  CF ( 20 minutes )

(2) Suede  Leather

     (on  crust  weight ) Top fat - liquoring       

     400%   water

     0.5-1.0% DECIL  CF  -    ( 30  minutes )
