DECIWET -HA
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
I. Nature 
Amphoteric dispersing agent with softening properties in highly concentrated form.
II. Properties 
Appearance : Transparent, clear pale yellow, free flowing liquid.
Character : Amphoteric.
Solubility : Soluble in water in all proportions
pH of 10% solution : 9.0 to 10.0
Viscosity : Low but increases on dilution and then
decreases on further dilution.
III. Application

It is a very powerful dispersing agent, detergent and grease emulsifier with a softening action. Being amphoteric in a nature its action is evident both in alkaline and acidic range. It is therefore eminently suitable as a dispersing agent for chrome and for natural greases in skin giving a uniform distribution of chrome in tanning and retaining baths. It is very useful in the pickle bath, combing the advantage of grease dispersing chrome distribution and softening at one stroke. The leather look cleaner due to DECIWET HA used in the pickle or during chrome tanning, due to its detergency and grease dispersing property. Due to cleaner leather, the dyeing is more uniform, clean and rich. This auxiliary should not be used in excess because the excess quantity creates foaming in the subsequent neutralizing stage.
IV.Pickling
Use 0.5 to 0.75% of DECIWET HA on pelt weights along with the salt, run for 20 Mts. The acid additions are made in the same bath as required. Mineral tanning follows as usual, and Further use of DECIWET HA in chrome is not necessary. Chrome Tanning 0.1% to 0.2% DECIWET HA along with 1 to 4% Emulsifier on Pelt weight are mixed well with 20% water and added along with the first addition of chrome in the main tanning. The quantities depend on the degree of softness required e.g. less for upper and more for garment and gloving leathers.
